This is a bit different to our office testing, which uses more industry standard benchmarks, and a few of the benchmarks here are relatively new and different.

The Ryzen 7 2700X sits between Ryzen 3 2200G and Core i3-7350K. It is 1.1% lower than the Ryzen 3 2200G while being 0.6% higher than the Core i3-7350K. The Ryzen 7 2700X takes a comfortable 10.7% lead over the Core i7-8700K. In this benchmark, the Ryzen 7 2700X has an impressive performance, which is way ahead of the last generation Ryzen 7 1700X by 18.8%. Again, the Ryzen 7 1700X tumbles down the chart, falling behind its Zen+-based successor. That's a ~18.8% generational speed-up in this title. The Ryzen 7 1700X clearly shows how significantly the high-end Summit Ridge-based CPUs fall behind the Zen+ models. The Ryzen 7 2700X's performance earns it the 19th place. AMD's Ryzen 7 2700X notches a small win over the Ryzen 7 1700X, but opens up an impressive lead over the stock Core i7-8700K. Overall, the Ryzen 7 2700X is an average performer with its 8-cores and 16-threads in this benchmark.
