This is a bit different to our office testing, which uses more industry standard benchmarks, and a few of the benchmarks here are relatively new and different.

The Ryzen 5 3500X sits between Core i5-12400 and Ryzen 7 1800X. It is 0.9% lower than the Core i5-12400 while being 3.7% higher than the Ryzen 7 1800X. In this benchmark, the Ryzen 5 3500X has an impressive performance, which is way ahead of the last generation Ryzen 5 2400G by 69.2%. With 2 additional cores, the Ryzen 5 3500X provides a smoother experience than the Ryzen 5 2400G. Again, the Ryzen 5 2400G tumbles down the chart, falling behind its Zen 2-based successor. That's a ~69.2% generational speed-up in this title. The Ryzen 5 2400G clearly shows how significantly the mid-range Raven Ridge-based CPUs fall behind the Zen 2 models. The Ryzen 5 3500X's performance earns it the 33rd place. Overall, the Ryzen 5 3500X is a very good performer with its 6-cores and 6-threads in this benchmark.
